How program trains on contraception in terms of both didactic and experiential/procedural skills training

Summary

Detail

First year: three-hour didactic curriculum on contraception, emergency contraception, health maintenance, and women’s health

Sessions include case-based scenarios with evidence-based back-up to encourage interns to think creatively and critically about the delivery of contraceptive care (Curriculum: Curriculum on Contraception, EC and Health Maintenance for PGY 1 Orientation, Readings on Contraception for Gynecology Rotation for PGY 2)

Clinic sessions
